Wrestling action - Adidas Pin
As well as seeing some fine and intense wrestling as the victor wears the other wrestler down until the pin is won, you can also see classic Adidas Pin wrestling shoes in action on the mat, worn by both wrestlers. They don't make 'em like they used to (sigh).

Adidas Pretereo action
Here's me trying out a pair of hot new Adidas Pretereo wrestling shoes in red.
How come red is such a good colour for wrestling gear???

New Boots on the Block
"69shoes" is a new collector of boxing boots and wrestling shoes is very welcome indeed. His photos of his collection on Flickr and, now, some recent vides on YouTube are really getting my attention. It's rare to see this care and attention to detail and WHAT A COLLECTION! Very similar, in fact, to mine. We might have to lace up and fight over whose collection is best! ;-)
Round of applause for 69shoes! Thanks man, I look forward to seeing lots more!

Hit counter
I'm wondering whether this blog is getting a lot of viewing, or whether I'm just sitting here mostly talking to myself! ;-)
Can anyone tell me how I get to find out how many hits I'm getting, please?

Asics Wrestling '81s in motion
I think you get to see more of the real character of a pair of shoes when they are in motion. I rarely wear these white leather Wrestling '81s, but every time I lace up I think I should wear them more often. Better still, hit the wrestling mats in them, 'cos these shoes are still boxfresh and pristine. The squeak of the rubber sole on the wooden floor shows just how much traction these shoes provide.
Retro wrestling shoes rock. Much better than these space-age modern shoes, don'tcha think? ;-)

Chucks that Suck #1
First let me say that I love the Converse All Star "Chuck Taylor". I've been wearing these great shoes since I was 16 and loving them for even longer.
So it pains me a great deal to start this series. Since they closed the US manufacturing down and sold out to Nike, I've been (first) intrigued by the new variations coming out, then puzzled, then alarmned by their variable quality. And now I just gotta say they really are bringing out some trashy Chucks. Jeez, I never thought I'd be saying that....Breaks my heart, it really does.
So this is first of many posts exposing some of the really gross Chucks out there. What the heck are they thinking?!?!?!?!
