My first attempt at a video post. Thought I'd start by showing these wonderful old Bata Bullets. Can't help wishing they were still regularly used on the mats today.

I stumbled on this book today during my lunchbreak and I had to have it. As a pleasant change from endless cretinous WWF books full of twattish fake wrestling I was delighted to find this book, by Marcus Trower. It looks like a genuine appreciation of real, physical man to man wrestling. I reckon it's going to be a great read and I'll tell you all about it when I'm done.

Why not pick up a copy? It seems to be easily available through all the online book retailers!

Serious wrestling shoe lust

Sometime a pair of wrestling shoes just get you "right there". I need a pair of these vintage wrestling shoes (just re-issued and being drooled over by me at www.wrestlingdirect.com) so bad I got an ache in my guts!

Here's the full photo, guys! You guessed the right brand (the easy bit!) but not the shoe. It is, of course, the Asics Mexico 66. Lush shoes.

All tangled up

Great photo! These two wrestlers couldn't be in a tighter knot if they tried! Love the way the wrestler on the bottom is twisting his black adidas shoe right into the body of the controlling wrestler. Love it!

Well here they go again at Adidas, bringing out boxing boots I just gotta have.

This is the Adidas Box Hog. (Wasn't he the fat guy in the white suit in "The Dukes of Hazzard?) These are hot as heck and I'll be lacing up in them just as soon as I can get my greedy little hands - and feet - on them!

The great plimsolls rip-off

Plimsolls, once held in contempt as the sneaker for infants, are now all the rage and I for one am pleased to see it.

Like many British kids, I wore plimsolls for school PE classes, hanging around in, climbing trees and fighting. Now I'm wearing them again.

But when these things are made for pence in developing countries like India and Pakistan, how can a shop like Office reasonably charge £24.99 for them fergodsake?!?!? Out of order, surely? My advice would be to get them where I got this lovely pair - eBay.
